How to read analog dial gauge In an analog dial gauge, the outer scale is divided into 0.01 millimeters each, while the inner scale is used to measure around the outer scale needle, which is simply explained. When the outer scale hand makes one full rotation, the inner scale hand moves by one square, or one tick, that is, one turn and the number is increased by one square. Method for measuring shaft deflection It uses a V-block to set the dial gauge to the mounting bracket firmly. Then,touch the shaft of the dial gauge to the shaft to be measured by touching until the outer dial of the dial gauge has finished moving, and then adjust the dial gauge needle to position 0 .Then,Once the needle is set, turn the shaft slowly and keep turning until the outer needle moves as much as possible, then read the dial gauge.
